Monthly Chapter Competitions

Chapter Competitions happen throughout the school year and are a great way for your school to compete against other engaged INTERalliance Chapters.  Competitions typically happen on Saturday’s and cover a variety of topics from Software Development to Cyber Security.  Cash prizes are awarded to the top three chapters for each event.

TechOlympics is a student-run tech conference in February by INTERalliance. In 2021, TechOlympics will be four weeks long and completely virtual. There will be themes for each week: Software Development, ArtTech, Cybersecurity, and Data & AI. Every week, there will be competitions, workshops, and breakout sessions related to the theme of that week.

ChallengeCreate a video promotion for TechOlympics 2021: Illuminate. The video should be less than one minute long, and chapters should create their videos ahead of time. Any music, photos, or videos in your submission must be copyright-free.

This competition will have your chapter members in teams of 5, and will compete at STEM based board game stations, in which the top 3 chapters will win a cash prize!

Challenge:  STEM based board games

Challenge: Creating a website/app user interface (using free online mockup tools) for another club at your school. 

Prework: Talk to another club at your school and find out what solutions should be implemented in your UI mockup.

Challenge: Research any one of these technologies and create a presentation highlighting how to turn the technology into a business for profit OR a non-profit organization to improve quality of life.

March 2019

Presented by the Kroger Technology R+D Team, this competition will consist of the Kroger Tech in 2039 Challenge.

INTERalliance chapters will get to explore behind the scenes and learn about Kroger’s R+D Lab as well as get a presentation overview of R+D from the team. 

The winning team may possibly have the opportunity to fine tune their ideas and either create a presentation, website, app etc. for their ideas depending on what you create, and return to present to a group of leaders.

Other Details: NO PREWORK. All work will be done at the competition. Please bring your laptops to work on the project. Maximum of 5 students per chapter allowed to attend.

May 2019

INTERalliance chapters will get to explore Cincinnati city data to solve a problem and create a project. Details will be revealed at the competition.
